Move More
Move More is the physical activity strategy for Sheffield, with the vision of creating a healthier, happier, and more connected city by bringing people together with a shared purpose. The strategy seeks to promote the role of physical activity in enhancing the city’s health and wellbeing, unite people around this common goal, and establish guiding principles and priorities to align collective action across the city.
Creating a more active Sheffield is a shared responsibility, and this strategy is relevant to everyone in the city. It is designed to support individuals, groups, and organisations that shape Sheffield's physical and social environments, as well as partners who have the reach and relationships with the people and communities that will benefit from these changes.
The Move More Principles capture what partners across Sheffield believe is really important and form the foundation of the Move More approach. These principles are not prescriptive, but rather flexible and practical ways of working. They will help align and guide actions across the city, fostering a coordinated approach to creating a more active Sheffield.

Move More Networks
The Move More Networks provide opportunities for connection, learning, and sharing, helping us to implement the Move More Strategy more effectively.
These networks are led by passionate chairs and co-chairs who work together to inspire change, foster collaboration, and tackle shared challenges. The best results often come from working across and between these networks, reflecting the interconnected systems that support our active city.
If you'd like to learn more or get involved, we’d love to hear from you! Simply reach out to the network chairs or vice-chairs - they’ll be happy to chat and share more about their work.
